What is a trail when we are talking run, bike and hike?

A trail is generally any path that is not made of a tarmac or smooth concrete. A path or track that is typically narrow and designated for walking, hiking, biking, or other recreational activities. Trails are often found in natural or outdoor settings such as forests, mountains, parks, or wilderness areas, although they can also be constructed in urban areas. Local parks often have tarmac paths through grasslands. So move onto the grass. That's a trail surface. Trails may be marked or unmarked, and they can vary in length and difficulty level. They are commonly used for recreational purposes, exercise, exploration of nature, and enjoying outdoor activities. Trails can provide access to scenic views, landmarks, wildlife, and other points of interest. Some trails are part of a larger network, such as a trail system or a long-distance trail that spans multiple regions or countries.

Remember. The important thing is we get out there and enjoy the trails at what ever pace or capacity that suits.
